First impressions of our new home

We found Quak, our Fellowship 28, in Flensburg, Northern Germany, in a pretty neglected condition she was quite moldy and dirty. After checking her out and massively underestimating the time it would take to refit her, we bought her for 2,500€. Over the next two years, we spent countless hours sanding and getting her back into a somewhat livable condition.

Accommodations & Living on Board

  • Cooking: 1500W induction hob.
  • Water Capacity: 250 L (upgraded from the original 150 L by laminating a custom tank – read about the project here).
  • Water System: To conserve freshwater, we use manual pumps (Whale Gusher foot pump in the galley, Whale MK6 Hand pump in the head) alongside an electric saltwater pump for the galley and cockpit.
  • Heating: 5kW Vevor diesel heater – read about our experience here.
  • Cooling: Scirocco II electric fan.
