Hi, we’re Mariam & Alex!
On Drifting Along, we share our full-time life aboard Quak, our 28-foot sailboat. We traded life on land for a simpler, more minimalist life on the water, travelling through Europe and documenting our adventures on YouTube and Instagram.
It all started when Alex decided to buy a project boat – something everyone tells you not to do. For the next 2.5 years, we spent pretty much every spare minute refitting Quak, planning our lives around the boat and working towards the day we could finally launch.
When we finally splashed, there was still a long to-do list waiting for us. But we decided it was time to stop preparing and start sailing.
Since then, we’ve continued to work on our floating home while exploring new places along the way. From major refit projects to the little things that come with living aboard, we document the process, sharing both the challenges and the rewards of making it all work on a small sailboat.
